Q: What do LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy sessions like? 

A: I meet clients at every session where they are that day. Meaning that clients are the experts in their own life and take the lead in sessions regarding the content discussed. I do actively help individuals find the resources they need, write hormone letters, and write gender affirming surgery letters. 

Q: How long does treatment usually last?

A: I normally complete treatment with clients within a years time. Sessions are scheduled weekly in the beginning, and then move to less frequently as progress in therapy begins to occur more regularly. Sessions are scheduled for a total of 50 minutes. Some cases will be in treatment longer, this depends on the specifics of the clients situation and how much support they feel like they need moving through medical processes and transitioning.

Q: What if I need help processing my identity and sexuality?

A: I do help clients to process these concepts in a safe and non judgmental space.
